Senate Health Care Bill will Destroy Independance

Democrats Press Ahead on Debate Before Health Vote - NYTimes.com
Tonight, they will vote on the Senate Health Care Bill. The Democrats will be bought off with huge amounts of money to bring home to their constituants. They will trade our independence for money for a school or a few cops or whatever.

They will all say "I voted to move forward but not for the bill.." might as well have voted for it. The people will not remember the money they brought home when it comes time to vote, they will remember when they voted to allow the government to take over health care and allow them to pry into the private lives of all Americans.

They will look down their elitist noses at the lot of us. The wanna-be elitists, internet pundits, and newspaper editors will think they are not the people the smug lawmakers are sneering at, they will think they are "insiders"...truth is, they look down on these people too. They laugh at them as they follow along blindly, waiting for scraps from the table to fall.

I feel as if they want this to be the end of a free America. Yeah, we have lost many of our freedoms over the years, but none as glaringly obvious as what is contained in this bill. They are forcing us to purchase something as a condition of our citizenship. Young people especially are going to have a very hard time paying for this. They have a hard enough time making the utility bill money and gas money. This bill and the ensuing taxes will eat up all their playdough.

Every poll says the people do not back this bill, yet the politicians continue its progression. The dems do not care if their political careers are over. If they lose re-election, they still get paid for the rest of their lives, and go down in liberal history as part of the machine that finally took down American exceptionalism.

People go bankrupt from medical bills. That is why we have bankruptcy laws, to bail out the individual when they cannot pay their bills. It is not the end of the world going bankrupt. After a few years, it goes away on your credit report. If you have many many properties, chances are you have insurance and wont have to worry about medical related bankruptcy. Many charity organizations help people pay for medical care. Welfare covers the poorest people.

This bill isn't about health care. It is about power. Power for the government to decide what is best for you, to break individualism, and get your money..especially to get your money. This country was made great because we each have an opportunity to fail or thrive. We can make our own way, our own choices. I am not a child. I do not want my governemnt playing nanny for me. The silent majority on the country has been ignored for so long, the liberal culture forgot we are even here.

Health care needs some reform. The government needs to stay out of doctor offices.

I am looking forward to the new adminstration in 2012 to dismantle the effects of the radical Obama years. With a stroke of a pen, all of it can go away when his progressive mistakes are all repealed. History will recall the failed socialist experiment of the Obama years as a cautionary tale about letting the government go too far, political correctness stifling the true voice of the people, undervaluing the virtue of personal responsibility, and the effects of watching far too much TV.
